Date/Time

Dec 7, 2018
05:00 PM until 09:00 PM

Description

Experience all the ARTS DISTRICT has to offer at Friday Night Liberty - Holiday Extravaganza! with over 15 events and activities. Explore the District decorated in its holiday finest. Sip and stroll while you shop for creative holiday gifts, enjoy lively entertainment, and revel in some of the best food options in the city. Meet working artists, enjoy dance, theatre and music performances, and visit museums and galleries.

Each year, ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station invites the community to Salute the Season, a calendar of events celebrating the holidays from November 2, 2018-January 6, 2019. With so much to see, shop, and do, you may be able to wrap up all your holiday shopping while enjoying a festive night out!

An exciting addition to this year’s holiday offerings is Intersections, a one-of-a-kind dance performance about the history, tradition, landscape, and architecture of the ARTS DISTRICT.  Presented by local dance troupe transcenDANCE, performers will take audiences on a journey through site-specific dance. Begins at 6:30pm at Moment Cycle (2816 Historic Decatur).

Enjoy festive outdoor ice skating at Rady Children's Ice Rink, benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital, with skating every day from November 17-January 6, 10am-10pm. Capture your holiday memories with photos by the 90 ft. Norfolk Pine tree, a gift to the Navy in 1929. Visit a new holiday art installation, “Toying with Light,” by San Diego artist Nico Meyer, the latest project from the NTC Foundation’s Art in Public Places Committee.

ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station is the place to SKATE, CREATE, CELEBRATE and BUY LOCAL ART!
