Now open on University Avenue, is 100 Wines Hillcrest, a wine and European bistro. Created by the Cohn Restaurant Group and designed by Philippe Beltran, this rustic bistro remains true to its name, offering a large selection of wines sold by the glass or bottle. Local Katherine Humphus brings authentic recipes from her travels through Spain, France, Italy and Greece. Try the Crispy Cauliflower or Pizza Spanakopita — dill cream cheese, sautéed spinach, feta and fried egg. |

Located out in the front of the newly renovated Hotel La Jolla is Hiatus, a beach lounge that features open air space for guests and locals. Indulge in refreshing cocktails made from seasonal ingredients by Chicago-based bartender Nate Howell, paired with tasty bites from Cusp’s executive chef Donald Lockhart, including chilled lobster and crab spring rolls with Thai sauce. Enjoy $5 drink specials during Happy Hour, which runs from 4 to 7 p.m., and live entertainment at night. |

At the opening cocktail party, spectators from all over came to check out the latest addition. Y-3 features men and women’s shoes, accessories and apparel, ranging from a soft V-neck top to a healed sneaker. The line is Japanese-inspired leisurewear that is chic yet casual.
