The Geeze and Me

Rag Lady Productions has announced the complete cast and creative team of the world premiere The Geeze & Me, which was developed from the book written by Hedges Capers and Nancy Locke Capers. Nancy Lock Capers is set to produce and direct the production. The Geeze & Me will play March 31st–April 29th in San Diego. Opening night is Friday, March 31st at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $30 and on sale now to the general public.

The Geeze & Me is a funny, irreverent, and poignant show about surviving age. This timely show features a comedic troupe of eccentric players who team up to wrangle aspects of aging from an expert. An eclectic blend of songs ranging from pop to blues to corner street doo-wop, accompanied by electric choreography and state-of-the-art projections. The perils and benefits of growing older are reflected in the corners of this diverse group of people.

Hedges Capers (Music and Book) is a Capitol Records recording artist. In the late '60s, early '70s he released eight albums as “Hedges & Donna.” As an actor, he got the title role in The Legend of Hillbilly John. Capers has played in hundreds of clubs and concerts internationally including Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. Years later he became a marriage and family clinical counselor, a behavioral consultant, and patent holder in the corporate sphere.

The Geeze and Me

Nancy Locke Capers (Producer, Director, and Book) is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, SAG, and CAMFT. She was in the film industry for 25 years, having co-written a script that was produced by an independent film company. Years later she decided to return to school and became a licensed psychotherapist, running a private practice in La Jolla for two decades now.

The cast of this amazing production includes Kent Brisby, Byron LaDue, Gabriela Nelson, Jesse MacKinnon, Lorraine Devon Wilke, Lolly Boroff, Erin Vanderhyde, Lauren Preski, Susie Singer Carter, and introducing Scotty Billion in his acting debut. The Geeze & Me will be donating 50% of their proceeds to the following charities: Path, A New Path; UCSD Center for Healthy Aging, The Unbattle Project, and The Center LGBT Senior Services.
