San Diego's best haunted houses and Halloween events near you
Best Haunted House
This Halloween season, make sure you get your share of frightful fun here in San Diego. We’ve compiled a short list of the top haunted experiences that San Diego has to offer, including realistic horror experiences, creepy club crawls, and a heart-pounding music festival.
McKamey Manor in San Diego
Touted as the most interactive horror experiences you can legally participate in, McKamey Manor in San Diego is an “Extreme Home Haunt,” and Russ McKamey is the brains behind it all.
Two guests at a time will live out a horror movie as if they are the main characters. After signing a waiver and proving your identification, you essentially surrender yourself to the show. But this is unlike any haunted house you’ve ever been in. The tour lasts up to 4 hours, and the Manor expects its guests to be in “excellent health” before attending.
So how expensive do you think a personalized haunted trip through San Diego’s spookiest manor will cost you? Just 4 cans or 1 bag of dog food, which the manor donates to Operation Greyhound. Make sure you reserve your spot fast! Only two groups per day are allowed inside.
