Firenze Trattoria

Established in 1994, Firenze Trattoria is acclaimed for fresh ingredients, fragrant Tuscan fare, and exemplary wine selections. The restaurant is a favorite gathering place for residents of Rancho Santa Fe, Olivenhain, Encinitas and Solana Beach, as well as visitors from around the world. Firenze’s extensive menu includes Tuscan-inspired appetizers, salad seafood’s, pasta, beef, and poultry, but a fan favorite has to be their “Pollo alla Parmigiana”: Chicken breast lightly breaded and sautéed then topped off with mozzarella and light marinara, and baked.

The Godfather Restaurant

In 1967, Executive Chef Isidoro Balisteri came to San Diego from his native town of Aspra, a small village just outside of Palermo, Sicily, bringing with him exquisite recipes from the “Old Country.” In 1974, Chef Isidoro and his wife, Maria, opened San Diego’s original The Godfather Restaurant to bring San Diegans the treasured recipes of Northern and Southern Italy, including their “Pollo alla Parmigiana” – a foodie favorite – which is baked and served with mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce and fresh mushrooms.
