OMBAC’s 10th Annual 4-on-4 Volleyball Beachfest and Tournament

Date/Time

Sep 7, 2019
09:00 AM until 06:00 PM

Description

The Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC) will be hosting its 10th Annual 4-on-4 Volleyball Beachfest and Tournament on September 7, 2019. The event will take place at Mariner’s Point, Mission Bay. Divisions include Men’s Open, Women’s Open, and Co-ed. This event is exclusively for adults 21 years of age and older.

Hang courtside on the beach with a beer or a refreshing cocktail in hand while basking in the afternoon sun and enjoying the crisp ocean breeze. Attendees and participants can get in on the volleyball action or sit back and enjoy the games. There will be a few extra volleyball courts for pick-up games if spectators feel inspired to join the action. Sponsored by Blue Chair Bay Rum, the kegs and cocktails will be flowing all day, so please think ahead when making transportation plans. All beach lovers, volleyball players, non-volleyball players, corporate team builders, armed forces, colleges, and fun-loving people are encouraged to join the fun!

The Volleyball Beachfest and Tournament is meant for everyone – even those with little or no volleyball experience. While the Men’s and Women’s divisions are for competitive players, the Co-ed divisions cover a wider range of player levels including social, intermediate, and competitive. Spirited, friendly competition is the name of the game, so costumes, uniforms, and corporate team-building themes are encouraged. There will be a minimum of eight teams per division and bracket. If this minimum is not met, divisions and brackets may be combined. In true OMBAC fashion, there will be awards for the winning teams and the best uniforms.
