PEERS Network 5th Annual Black Tie Gala, in benefit of the Challenged Athletes Foundation

Each year they select an outstanding local nonprofit to benefit from their annual PEERS Gala, and this year they are partnering with the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), which supports athletes with physical disabilities across the country.

To inspire philanthropic passion. To enable entrepreneurship. To provide education for members that aligns with their membership and enriches their community. To enhance the relationships of members and their families. And to drive intimate and engaging social interaction…

…Those are the core values of the PEERS Network, who established themselves in 2009 with the desire “to bring entrepreneurs and executives from across a variety of industries together with a common goal: to give back.” Since then, the organization’s members have been recognized for their dedication, support and partnership with charitable causes.

Each year they select an outstanding local nonprofit to benefit from their annual PEERS Gala – a black tie evening that brings together industry leaders and social philanthropists in an evening that features gourmet dining and entertainment – and this year, for their 5th Annual PEERS Gala, they are partnering with the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), which supports athletes with physical disabilities across the country.

Together, San Diego society and sports enthusiasts will celebrate CAF’s 20th anniversary and help individuals with physical disabilities live life to the fullest through sport.

During this exclusive evening at the private La Jolla Farms residence of Steve and Lisa Altman, guests will experience cutting edge cuisine, entertainment, a silent and live auction, and hear inspirational stories of perseverance from the challenged athletes served by CAF.

The funds raised will be used to finance adaptive sports equipment, running prosthetics, coaching, mentoring and competition expenses for challenged athletes of all ages and abilities. These are items typically not covered by insurance and make a significant impact on someone’s life by enabling them to have independence through sports and physical fitness.
