Balboa Park's Twilight in the Park
Where can you feel the warm breeze of summer with good music within a family friendly environment? The Twilight in the Park Summer Concerts are back and better than ever! The staff of Twilight in the Park have created a tremendous lineup this year that brings culture and life to Balboa Park. This year, enjoy the San Diego weather with a wide range of performances from Stars on the Water, Kearny Mesa Band, and Emerald River, just to name a few! Shows will run from June 21st to September 1st every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30-7:30pm at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion inside Balboa Park, San Diego. It’s a chance to round up the family and friends to spend an hour of your weekday enjoying one another’s company while listening to some classics.
Twilight’s live music continues to intrigue visitors with their 35th year of riveting ensembles. Music genres range from spicy Latin Salsa to cool and calming Jazz, to Rock 'n' Roll 50s throwbacks. Whether you’re someone who likes to quietly observe the surroundings or you are a dancer with a beat, there’s something this summer for everyone in the family! Visitors are more than welcome to bring a picnic with a blanket and come to the ongoing event. Let the harmonies of these incredible performances take you into the summer night. Parents don’t worry; Twilight in the Park is a free event that is family-oriented for kids! All performers have generously dedicated their time and talent to perform just for you!

The season will kick off June 21st at 6:30 with the Marine Band performing a traditional Military Concert for all to attend, so come on out and show your support as they continue to pursue their passion for music while serving our nation. We thank you. Another fun and exciting performance to attend this summer with a night full of traditional German music and dancing is scheduled for August 13th as the El Cajon German Band takes the stage to play their assortment of Polka, Waltz, and Oompah! If you’re more into the best of Hollywood and Broadway be sure to mark August 26th down on your calendars as the Coronado Concert Band is back at it again with the hot show tunes!
Are you a history buff? The Hillcrest Wind Ensemble will be performing popular band music June 18th. Special theme-oriented activities such as dancing lessons, a barbershop quartet, and a peek at Balboa Park history will be featured alongside beautiful antique cars to celebrate the Centennial of Balboa Park! Activities will begin at 5:30pm, and the Hillcrest Wind Ensemble will take the stage at 6:30pm. If you’re looking to go to another theme-filled night, August 25th is going to be in full swing with a Concert Appreciation Themed Night! Enjoy the surroundings with featured period cars, harmony singers, and don't forget to bring a friend for some fun-filled swing lessons! All activities will begin at 5:30. The Moon Light Serenade Orchestra will be performing once again for their 11th year straight with Twilight in the Park!
It's sure to be an eventful summer at Balboa Park’s Spreckels Organ Pavilion. Nannying children? Bring them! Got a potentially awkward first date? Bring them!
