On March 31st, FINE Magazine hosted the 5th Annual Spring Exposure Fashion Show. The event showcased fashion, food, and good company in an effort to raise money for Shelter to Solider, a charity that saves the lives of shelter canines by pairing them with veterans suffering from PTSD. Guests danced the night away to the musical styling of Daring Greatly, while enjoying a surplus of food, drinks, and runway looks. The Carlsbad Forum was surely dressed to the nines last night... fur coats, and all!
With the check-in line wrapped around the fence as guests clamored to enter, the festivities began early in the evening at 5:45. Guests were whisked away onto the red carpet where they posed for the paparazzi thanks to Selfie Station. Food and cocktails greeted our guests as they tried samples and wine tastings. A full list of our lovely food and beverage vendors is down below!
Participants mingled from booth to booth, finding their way to reserved VIP seats along the runway for an emotional speech given by Graham Bloem, the founder and president of Shelter to Soldier. Bloem introduced US Navy veteran Vic Martin, who shared his story about recovering from PTSD. Martin tugged at everyone's heartstrings with an emotional speech about how Shelter to Soldier helped save his life. This organization puts their time and effort into saving “two lives at a time," and we here at FINE magazine were so happy to support them with our Spring Xposure fashion show. Thanks to all of our wonderful guests, Shelter to Soldier successfully raised $7000.
The performance of Daring Greatly and DJ Danny had people on their feet, and dancing until 10pm. Segueing into the live auction was Steve Lewandowski from Veterans Research Alliance. Models then displayed the beautiful clothing auctioned off, prompting hands to be raised, and checks to be signed. The items auctioned off live include a SculpSure treatment from Dermacare San Diego, a handmade bag from Rich Freshman, and a necklace from Renzulli's Jewelry World. Spring Xposure also featured a silent auction. The full list of participants who donated items to the auction can be found down below.
Commencing the highly anticipated fashion show Bravua Sydney, who displayed their beautiful swimwear line. Haus of K2 then flaunted their lace inspired spring line. Following them on the runway was Chico’s light and breezy fashion. Bringing tropical vibes to the catwalk were, Cocoyana’s Columbian swimwear. White House Black Market and the Zaneta Owen Collection of handbags stunned the runway in chic stylings. Nicole Miller had the models adorned in Mulloy’s Jewelry, and Francesca’s in pastel and preppy patterns. Walking with a bohemian look was both Studio 1220 and Satori Designs. Delivering active wear and lounge pieces were Lululemon and Soma Intimates. Finally, JoS. A. Banks and Rich Freshman had people swooning over their premier suits and gorgeous menswear.
