The Oceanside Pier is one of the largest wooden piers on the West Coast, measuring at 1,942 feet. It holds special memories for local residents and tourists. The pier is also the source for some interesting events, including surf competitions, fishing derby and classic car shows.

Thrill seekers looking for a great activity, visit GoJump Oceanside. But be warned, if you have a fear of heights then this is not the right activity. This is a great place to scratch skydiving off your bucket list.

Visitors will be able to take in the amazing views of Southern California’s coastline, with San Diego to the south and Catalina Island and Dana Point to the north. 

For a calm and peaceful experience, take a peek at the Heritage Park Village Museum. Snuggled in the hills of Oceanside Valley, Heritage Park features the historic buildings of downtown Oceanside.These structures originate from the turn of the century, including the city’s first general store, the old city jail and the Blade Newspaper. The essence of old-time charm is magnificently captured in this historic park, the perfect place for weddings, special events, school field trips and other social gatherings. Foodies looking for a great place to eat in Oceanside should try the Breakfast Club Diner. We recommend their classic tender steak and eggs or their hearty omelets and skillets that are sure to make your mouth water. As for lunch and dinner, a great place to try is Anita’s Mexican restaurant. Since 1973, Anita’s has served amazing Mexican food with a warm and friendly service with two locations to choose from. With its friendly atmosphere, you just can’t go wrong stopping by for delicious tacos.

Another great eatery is Enzo’s BBQ and Alehouse. Located right on Oceanside Blvd., Enzo’s is great place for good quality BBQ. The zesty tang of their delicious food will dance in your mouth and enhance your day. Their menu consists of BBQ ribs, hot links, pulled pork and brisket sandwiches as well as a variety of pastas and salads. And before you leave, don’t forget to try one of their hand-crafted beers.

If your really want to explore the wide range of food that Oceanside has to offer, try Carla and Linda’s Walking Food Tour. This walking tour includes four or five tastings of both food and drinks with two professional tour guides. Taste a wide range of bites and sips while hearing the history of the restaurants and region. They recommend that you be at least 16 years old and if you are 21 years or older, bring your id as most places will be serving alcohol and will request identification for alcoholic purchases. The tour does not exceed a mile in total traveling distances, making it an easy walk. Stops will be made at their favorite restaurants for tastings of specially chosen items. Tours are about three hours and you may purchase tickets in advance.

For those beer lovers, head over to Stone Brewing Company. Located one block from the Oceanside Pier, they have a high standard when it comes to beer. Many of their creations are intended to be consumed fresh and each bottle is stamped with an "Enjoy By" date, making sure that only their tastiest beer is available. You will never get bored with Stone Brewing’s hand-crafted beer as they have many different options to choose from.
