A signature example in Del Mar, Addison is easily a highlight of the San Diego area dining scene. The 5-star contemporary French restaurant recently unveiled its seasonal summer menu and special dining experience at Le Salon, the enticing bar and balcony, which overlooks the sweeping green of the Fairmont Grand Del Mar golf course.
Executive Chef William Bradley is the mastermind behind the menu. For ten years, he’s crafted excellence at Addison by combining modern, upscale French dining with locally sourced, high-quality ingredients. Chef Bradley is highly praised and heavily accoladed—he was named Chef of the Year in 2014 by the San Diego Union-Tribune, he won the Robb Report Culinary Master’s Competition that year as well, and currently has four James Beard Award nominations to his name.
Chef Bradley created the summer menu’s delightful bites, drawing upon inspiration from seasonal ingredients. The options range from a classic pairing of cheese and fruit to exquisite tastes like the Osetra Caviar that sits atop a bed of smoked salmon, flavored with dill and lime. The masterful menu also features Iberico ham tartlets with whipped parmesan and tomato confit jam, the delectable Warm Gougeres, which are filled with sherry cream and a touch of sea salt, and Kumamoto Oysters, flavored with sorrel and blanc de blanc champagne. Le Salon offers an exceptional palate experience this summer, and the cuisine should certainly not be missed.

Addison Del Mar
The crown jewel of Le Salon is the cocktail menu, which incorporates a variety of flavors into expertly crafted beverages that are just as excellent as the cuisine at Addison. An easy favorite is the Cairns 72—a simple but sophisticated combination of pomegranate, lime, and gin for a fresh and fruity beverage. For a refreshing evening sip, the Fumee Et Fleur offers crisp lime and flavorful hibiscus mixed with smoky Mezcal. The "Japonais" is a cool tongue-tingler, with strong ginger meeting bold Oolong and Hakushu for a pleasing palate cleanser. Other cocktails on the menu could double as dessert, with tastes of vanilla or mint meeting cognac and absinthe.
This summer, Le Salon offers a shared canapes tasting experience for two, featuring a taste of the seasonal menu and a bottle of wine selected by Addison Wine & Beverage Director Rafael Sanchez. Enjoy a cocktail on the terrace, or sit inside among the lavish décor and cordial wait staff. Addison is altogether a dining experience unlike any other to be had in San Diego, which is why it simply must make your list of to-do’s this summer.
