* WHAT...South winds becoming west winds of 20 to 30 knots with
gusts up to 35 knots and seas 8 to 12 ft expected. Localized
gusts of up to 40 knots will be possible at times.

* WHERE...Coastal Waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican
Border and out to 10 nm and Waters from San Mateo Point to the
Mexican Border Extending 10 to 60 nm out including San
Clemente Island.

* WHEN...From 7 AM Monday to 7 AM PST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong south winds Monday morning turn
westerly Monday afternoon as a strong frontal boundary moves
over the waters. Seas 8 to 12 feet and gale force gusts will
cause dangerous conditions for most craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM MONDAY TO 4 AM
PST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 11 feet, with sets to 13
feet. Minor coastal flooding will also be a threat.

* WHERE...San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County
Coastal Areas.

* WHEN...From 10 AM Monday to 4 AM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. High rip current risk. Minor tidal
overflow into parking lots and boardwalks also possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Surf will peak Wednesday morning through
Wednesday evening, especially for San Diego County. Rip
currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in
the sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins,
jetties and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach
patrol, flags and signs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 8 PM PST MONDAY...

* WHAT...South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph expected,
locally up to 45 mph possible.

* WHERE...Orange County Coastal Areas, Orange County Inland Areas,
San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys-The Inland Empire, San
Diego County Coastal Areas, San Diego County Valleys, and Santa
Ana Mountains and Foothills.

* WHEN...From 7 AM to 8 PM PST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Shallow rooted trees may be uprooted.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will be strongest with the passage of
the cold front. The front is currently expected to pass through
Orange County/Inland Empire early Monday afternoon and San Diego
County late Monday afternoon.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
