Updated: Permanently closed. Owner, Beau Schmitt will be opening up in Hillcrest. Stay tuned for details.
San Diego Brew Project is the brainchild of Beau Schmitt and Kyle Chaykowski. Opened about a month ago, it is the first and only current craft beer bar to serve only local craft beers brewed in San Diego. We’re talking local craft beer poured from 31 installed taps, from the biggies (Stone, Ballast Point, Green Flash) to lesser-known – but no less delicious – players (Indian Joe Brewing in Vista, etc.) Your guide to San Diego's newest craft brewery, San Diego Brew Project.
Nestled inside of 57 Degrees – an already established Mission Hills wine bar – it was created on the mission to create more growth and exposure for San Diego breweries, as well as create a launching point for new and emerging craft brewers.

San Diego Brew Project Interior
It essentially splits the huge, 10,000 square-foot space of 57 Degrees into two concepts, working in unison, as they share the center bar.
SDBP also serves an extensive locally brewed bottle list from their bottle service counter and full sized pool tables. And beyond the pool tables is a walk up food window (run by 57 degrees) that serves "Starters" – such as Spicy BBQ meatball bites, a Caprese Salad, and a cheese plate – and "Finishers" – such as Buffalo Chicken Sliders, a BBQ Pulled Pork Panini, and a Buffalo Grilled Cheese.
Go to enjoy this great local beer, tasty eats, and fine scenery on the outdoor patio over the Gaslamp Quarter and Lindbergh Field.
