San Diego's fruitlessmoon theatreworks announces their next production: the San Diego premiere of Jennifer Haley's two-hander dramatic play Breadcrumbs, February 24th through March 12th, 2017 at The La Jolla Commons Theatre. Opening night performance is Friday, February 24th, 8pm. Aimee Greenberg, fruitlessmoon theatreworks's Artistic Producing Director is back on the boards after her solo show Occupy the Rice Fields and will produce, direct and perform the role of Alida in the production, along with Julia Giolzetti as Beth/Mother. The production team also includes Assistant Directors Jim Carmody and Dori Salois, as well as Projection Design by Stefani Byrd, Light and Sound Design by Verl Averett, and Morgan Tisha Kirby as the Stage Manager.

Breadcrumbs tells the story of a reclusive fiction writer diagnosed with dementia, who must depend upon a troubled young caretaker to complete her autobiography. In a symbiotic battle of wills, they delve into the dark woods of the past, unearthing a tragedy that shatters their notions of language, loneliness, and essential self.
