Cool Ice Cream Shops in San Diego
With San Diego having near to perfect weather year round, it is to no surprise that it is filled with ice cream shops around the county. With the infinite number of ice cream parlor’s it can be incredibly difficult to choose one. Niederfrank’s

If you grew up in San Diego county then it’s likely you’ve tried their ice cream. Niederfrank’s has been serving ice cream to locals since 1948. This San Diego staple is one of the oldest ice cream shops around town. It serves more than seventy flavors of ice cream and sorbet ranging from apple strudel to vanilla, which is unlike any other vanilla ice cream you’ve ever had. Once you lick the cone for the first time you will become aware of the creaminess and the natural flavors that aren’t present in store bought ice cream. Make sure to give Niederfrank’s a visit if you’re ever around the neighborhood.
Big Haus

Big Haus is a fairly new ice cream shop located in San Diego. It has taken social media by the storm by serving rolled ice cream. The fruit flavors are chopped up in front of you and incorporated with the liquid form of ice cream until the ice cream is fully incorporated. Rolled ice cream is great because it takes longer to melt than traditional ice cream. This is great place to bring the little ones because they get to see when their ice cream is being made. Their small menu offers flavors that are sure to please their customers.
Treet

Treet is an awesome ice cream shop that looks out for your health. This ice cream parlor serves ice cream in regular and vegan cookies and also in churros, you really can’t go wrong with ice cream and churros. Treet also has vegan, dairy and gluten free ice cream flavors. The best thing about Treet is that all of their ice cream is made with local organic producst.
Seaside Yogurt

Seaside Yogurt is a small fro-yo shop located in Del Mar, CA. This small shop has only a handful of flavors compared to bigger chains. The fro-yo here was special because it did not taste like water like many of the other fro-yo places around town. You’ll be surprised by the flavors that burst in your month once you put the first spoonful in your mouth. There is also a large array of fresh fruit and candy toppings to chose from.
Creamistry

Another exciting ice cream parlor is Creamistry. Their ice cream is made to order with liquid nitrogen which is sure to amaze all of your followers on social media. Creamistry has a non-dairy ice cream alternative, organic, sorbet and a premium ice cream that its customers can choose from. They have over 80 different flavors and toppings to choose from which assures that everyone will leave their shop with a smile on their face. To top it all off, customers can choose to upgrade their ice cream to a brownie, waffle or chocolate bowl.
