Located about an hour north of San Antonio and 70 miles west of Austin,  Fredericksburg Wine Road 290 is an association of 15 Texas Hill Country wineries along US Highway 290 near Fredericksburg, Texas. Becker Vineyards

Becker Vineyard’s, Raven, is a concentration that includes essences of chocolate, toffee, dates, and espresso—a blend of Malbec and petit verdot. Planning an entire meal around this complex bottle is easily complemented by a bounty of specialty foods that can be purchased at one of the more than 150 shops lining Main Street. Fischer & Wieser—a famous canner of all things worth pickling, saucing or jamming—serves up samples in its beautiful storefront. Sown and reaped in Fredericksburg, the Fischer & Wieser brand has found great success, with some of its products now available at Costco.
