For 67 years, the Jewel Ball, has been held at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club on the first Saturday in August. The event is one of San Diego's most enduring social, cultural and philanthropic traditions. As the theme of the Ball changes each year, 50 Las Patronas Active Members spend a year designing and creating one spectacular and eagerly-anticipated evening under the stars. For 2014 - the 68th Jewel Ball - the women of Las Patronas will present Moonlit Mambo – an evening that celebrates the color, romance and music of 1950s Havana. As it does every year, the evening will commence with a festive cocktail hour with fantastic hors d'oeuvres, lively entertainment and a silent auction featuring sensational offerings. The call to dinner transports guests to an exquisite outdoor dining experience with a delectable dinner and dancing under the summer night sky. One of the most talked-about and exciting events every year in San Diego, you won't want to miss Moonlit Mambo!
