Salon LG: The Masterminds Behind the Joyce Giraud Photo Shoot

In the March issue (AKA the "White" issue) of FINE Magazine, we featured a special article and photo shoot with reality TV star, Joyce Giraud of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. While the article mainly focused on Mrs. Giraud and her life before and after television stardom, the photographs captured another side of her. The hair, makeup and fashion that united with a beautiful model like Joyce Giraud was all the work of another kind of stars: the ones at Salon LG.

 

"What an amazing experience," said Salon LG owner Shelley Cook. "Joyce is a true beauty inside and out. She treated us with absolute kindness and professional courtesy." According to Cook, Mrs. Giraud was even feeling a bit ill the morning of the photo shoot but did not want to shirk her professional responsibilities. With a slight cold and a sweet smile, the shoot would go on.

"Having done hair and make up for over 15 years, mostly behind the chair inside the salon, I always love on location photo shoots, this experience was no exception. In fact it was probably the most fun I have had on location," Cook said. The photo shoot was at Boudoir Divas, "which is a playground for women who want to spend a day dressing up in sexy lingerie and feeling amazing while getting their photos taken," Cook adds. "After spending a couple of hours getting Joyce's hair and makeup ready, she started getting her photos taken in the many different rooms in different outfits with different backgrounds. Even though she was extremely sick she was having such a good time, she decided to stay late and try on new outfits to take more photos just for fun."

 

"All of us girls from Salon LG had such a great experience with Joyce from the real housewives of Beverly Hills, it was not like working at all.  And for any of you that are as curious as I was before meeting Joyce, that is all her hair! Absolutely gorgeous, thick, long, healthy, beautiful hair!!! I feel blessed to have met her, she is such a lovely woman."
