How confident would you be in showing off your house when you have visitors coming over? You can be that person who does not have any problem flaunting all the rooms of your home, or you can also be someone who restricts the tour only to a few select areas. If you are the latter, maybe you can get a few pieces of advice from real estate property developers regarding home care and even presentation techniques. No home is perfect, and it is how you highlight the nicest parts that could sway people's opinions. But if you want to add more points towards the looks department, here are some home spaces that you can improve on.
Attic
The attic is seen by many as a bonus room, and it is usually that hollow space underneath your roof. Some of them take a bit of effort to access. One example is having to pull down a ladder from the ceiling to reach it. This could be the reason why they are being used as a place where excess stuff is stored.
If you have a child or family member who is on the adventurous side and want to have the attic as their room, you can have it transformed into something cozy where anyone could spend some time to chill. It can be the perfect game or music room for the person who likes to be isolated every now and then. The small space can be easy to work on if you want to make it beautiful. A lot of attics have exposed roof beams, and you can use these as accent points of the room. You can have them embellished by pictures, paintings, or other decors.
Bathroom
The bathroom is the most private place in the house. But this is not a reason to brush it off as a room where you can express your creativity. While some may see it as a functional room, the fact that people do not expect much from it is a perfect opportunity to blow their minds. That is an area where you can showcase how it contrasts against the rest of the house. For example, if your halls or corridors have light-colored walls, you can choose those to have darker hues in the bathroom. This can give off a feeling that it is a secret room of relief and comfort.
Ceiling
How often do people look up to the ceiling? Probably not that much. It is a part of the house that introduces scale, and it is also where you can incorporate some design sense. Rooms that have ceilings that are about two stories high can use a chandelier to emphasize height as well as become the home's centerpiece. For those who do not have that much vertically, they can use the space for ambient lighting. This will enable the room to have varying degrees of moods and atmosphere.
You can find beauty even in the most unlikely places. The same goes for a house. Improving on the looks wherever you can is important as not only does it impress your visitors, it can also add value to your home.
