As all things around us progressively become digital, it doesn’t come as any shocker that our blemish and anti-aging beauty devices have to often be plugged into outlets. In recent years, equipment such as acne-treating blue light therapy and wrinkle-eliminating microcurrents have made the jump out of the doctors office and into the ease of one’s home. But do these beauty devices provide results that are as good as to those you would receive at the dermatologist office?
FINE Magazine has checked out for you if these expensive gadgets are worth the indulge.

Trophy Skin MicrodermMD
Trophy Skin MicrodermMD
This at-home tool ($299) polishes the skin with a high quality diamond tip while vacuuming away loosened skin cells into its filter canister – just like an in-office procedure – leaving behind brighter and softer skin, while also stimulating cell renewal.
While this gadget does improve skin the results, however, are not as instantaneous as the microdermabrasion a dermatologist does. The best thing about this at-home microdermabrasion device is that you can control the suction—just turn it on and hit "the mode for you" for a gentle introduction to microdermabrasion you will love it. I have had my Trophy Skin MicrodermMD not only do I give it 2 thumbs up but it does multiple treatments. For the price it is well worth it.

Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X
Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X Deluxe Kit
The Tria ($559) is a hair removal handheld tool intended to remove hair in unwanted places. Because women of all colors and hair types are very sensitive unsightly hair. Tria came up with a new and improved hair removal gadget.
I have personally used one of their older Tria hair removal products and loved it. Highly recommend this gadget.

LightStim LED Light Therapy
LED Light is uses certain types of light that give off energy to stimulate your cells, in turn increasing the production of collagen and elastin. The LightStim LED treatment ($249) combines amber light and red light to, thus, reduce fine lines, and thereby make your skin firmer, less wrinkled, and appear younger.
Although the therapy is low in intensity, the device should generate these results over time. But the commitment involved can be daunting. The device’s head only covers about one-tenth of the face at a time, which means it takes 30 minutes of nightly treatment, 5-7 times a week for eight weeks, to get the recommended LED dosage.

NuFace-Skin-System-Christmas-Gift
NuFACE
The NuFACE line of devices ($189-525) employs microcurrent technology to give what they call a "5-minute face lift" by sending low-level waves through the skin. This encourages energy creation, which produces the production of collagen and elastin.
This technology is used by spas and aestheticians during facials to achieve a younger looking appearance. For the price of one or two such spa treatments, you are able to purchase one of these gadgets to better your facial tone, tightness, and firmness.
