"There’s truly something special about wearing a piece of jewelry that resonates with you and tells a story." Thus believes Bunny Bedi, founder of international jewelry brand Made in Earth. It’s a belief that has inspired his jewelry designs and the growth of his business. Made in Earth trades in crafting memorable pieces of jewelry. While jewelry trends are always evolving, one-of-a- kind pieces are here to stay thanks to this artistic designer. Each piece crafted by Made in Earth is unique and includes some of nature’s most stunning gemstones and metals.
Made in Earth began as a vendor booth at boutique flea markets and festivals in Australia. After his first visit to Venice, California, founder Bunny Bedi instantly knew he wanted his flagship jewelry gallery stateside—that was when his dream came to life. Fascinated by the beauty of nature, Bedi meticulously creates gorgeous jewelry that highlights his love of natural gemstones.
As glittering stones are all the rage in jewelry, Bedi’s newest collection is a nod to nature at its finest. The Melody Collection is named after Melody Guilbault, the best-selling author of the Love is in the Earth series and one of Bedi’s personal friends of over 15 years. These exclusive jewels are set with crystals from Melody’s personal collection that she curated during her international travels. Stunning and unique, the Melody Collection offers a number of eye-catching pendants, rings and bracelets. "Conversation pieces are worn to be noticed," shares Bedi. "Simple and timeless fashion will allow your unique pieces to be the center of your ensemble."

And Bedi has a number of tips for showcasing statement pieces of jewelry, including the old adage "less is more." According to Bedi, "If you’re wearing a chunky ring, that’s all that should be displayed on your hand. You can balance it out with a more delicate pendant and some faceted stud earrings."
Whether creating for an exclusive collection or for his local Del Mar stores, Bedi uses a wide variety of stones. One of Bedi’s favorite gems to work with? Malachite, which is the stone of transformation. In addition, Bedi creates a myriad of pieces using different shades of Quartz. No matter what kind of gemstone he uses, one thing is constant in every Made in Earth piece: Bedi believes the natural beauty of each stone should speak for itself, which is why his designs are clean and simple.
Though Made in Earth originated from humble beginnings in Australian flea markets, nowadays it has galleries in Del Mar, New York, Los Angeles and Melbourne, back where the global brand began. Yet despite the international success of the company, Bedi is still focused on making sentimental jewelry that can be treasured and worn for years. That, more than anything, is what makes Made in Earth stand out the most; they aren’t just making jewelry––they’re making memories.
