Best Places to Travel to in Spring - Says FINE Magazine

Spring and Summer Top Destinations

Why Is 2018 Best Year to See These Places?

There is not a lot of reasons why not to travel when the days are long, when the Northern hemisphere experiences a beautiful explosion of its most incredible palette of colors, and when our work calls for us to schedule a vacation. The months from April until October are equally right for the perfect escape. The time to put on the title of a traveler is now, clear your schedule, write your packing list, and get in that explorer mood.

Start by reading about the places you are dreaming of visiting anyway, and we’re here to tell you why you should visit them this year.

JORDAN

The pleasant and dry climate of Jordan is rewarding for traveling year-round, and even if you push your trip to the end of the year, Jordan will still welcome you with the warmth of summer temperatures. Fly out to the capital Amman first and then build your trip from there. Magnificent Amman will surprise you with its combination of all the westernized metropolis’ segments and the Middle Eastern charm it possesses. Explore Jerash, and it's Roman remains, one of Jordan's most fascinating historical sites just outside of Amman, that is including Emperor Hadrian’s Arch, the Corinthian Columns of the Temple of Artemis, and the Forum’s oval colonnade. Wonders of Petra should get some special attention from you, so prepare yourself for a hiking treat filled with pretty august pictures. Once-in-a-lifetime experience is waiting for you in the Dead Sea, so join the crowd in the floating party of salinity, and put the mud on your body – the silkiest feel is coming as a result afterward. Do not miss one of Jordan’s holiest places, remarkable Mount Nebo, where you’ll find a stone memorial to Moses along with the stunning view overlooking Jordan Valley, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem.

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

Attractive and warm, the capital of Denmark is one of those corker cities where you can close your eyes and picture yourself living there and living to the fullest too. While in other European cities, you would warm up your feet for the long strolls you would take, Copenhagen is the place where you should warm up your feet for cycling. Topping many global health lists with its cycling culture, Copenhagen has just the spot to show it off. The Bicycle Snake is the elevated bike lane where you should cycle through as it’s only one of the favorite spots of 50 percent of locals that are commuting daily by bike. Island Brygge is a must-stop for Copenhageners and recommended sunbathing diving and swimming places for tourists. Five outdoor pools, three diving towers, and a big lawn will remind you how life is sweet when you’re out on the sun. Christiania could become your favorite place of Copenhagen, where you’ll be able to lose yourself in the calm of the lake and enjoy a quiet walk next to the water or explore the more hip and upbeat center of Christiania. Don’t forget to find the Little Mermaid, as no one will probably believe you’ve been to Denmark if you don’t bring back a close-up of this national most famous tourist attraction. Don’t worry if it gets too crowded around her. There’s one waiting for you at the airport just in case.

NEW ORLEANS

With turning big 300 this year, New Orleans is more inviting than ever, and that is why this is the best year to visit. Festival of lights, art shows, the Jazz fest with an endless amount of music, and "the best line-up," according to many, and other festivities will mark New Orleans’ tercentennial blended in the mix of music, art, food, culture, and history. Have "les bon temps" in the "Big Easy" - hit the Crescent Park for a walk, rent a bike and find out what Lafitte Greenway trail has to offer, and then plan your rendezvous at French Quarter. You pick which rooftop party you’ll attend at one of the four newly opened hotels of New Orleans – NOPSI, Troubadour, Catahoula, or Ace Hotel. Known for their delicious food, New Orleans is that place where you can try something else every day- gumbos, red beans, and rice, beignets, banana fosters, snowballs, king cakes, and plenty more of local food that will make your New Orleans trip exceptional. You can check out this list of best places in New Orleans to stay at should you decide to make a trip down.

MOROCCO

How many times did you tell yourself you want to explore different cultures of the world? This year grab the opportunity, really decide to go, and learn everything you wanted to know about Morocco with hiring a local guide. Very few can compare their knowledge with a local- from history, culture facts, to all the best places to dine and shop for spices, argan oil, or souvenirs. Plan ahead calculate how long it will take you from Marrakesh to see the must-see three – Atlas Mountains, Ourika Valley, and Essaouira. That way, you will enjoy the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh and then enjoy the calm of nature in full with the mountains, the river, and the port city of Atlantic coast- Essaouira. Don’t leave Morocco without taking a sunset camel ride. Those memories will be yours for a lifetime.

BIG SUR, CALIFORNIA

This summer is ideal for a stay-cation in California. Head up north and enjoy some fun outdoor activities through various places Big Sur has in store for you. Charming Salmon Creek Falls Trail is a short, but lovely hike which will take you to its gorgeous waterfall. Make a stop at the Bixby Bridge and gaze at the incredible view of Big Sur coastline. Take home memories from Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park- this place is for all the woods lovers, hiking and climbing enthusiasts, and nature walkers. Extraordinary, pristine purple sand awaits you at the Pfeiffer Beach, where you’ll want to leave your footprints and handprints.
