STK Las Vegas Restaurant: Top Steakhouse in Las Vegas

Inside the STK Las Vegas Restaurant

In the heart of Las Vegas, amidst its buzzing neon lights and theatrical fervor, a diner might occasionally yearn for a truly resplendent culinary escapade. On my recent jaunt to Sin City, such a yearning led me to the doors of STK Las Vegas, a shining jewel in the crown of the opulent Cosmopolitan Hotel. Commandeered by the virtuoso Executive Chef Stephen Hopcraft, STK promises a dining experience far removed from your commonplace steakhouse. One imagines a symphony of flavors, punctuated by delectable steaks and eclectic accompaniments.

Menu

The menu, rather predictably, centers on the steak— a piece de resistance I approached with a keen palate. STK ensures its carnivorous clientele is pampered with a range of choices, from delicate to hearty cuts and naturally-reared options. Seafood lovers aren't left wanting either. The menu's standouts included tempting creations like Parmesan Truffle Fries, the playfully named Lil’ BRGs, Shrimp Rice Krispies, Sweet Corn Pudding, and the decadent Jump Lump Crab Salad.

However, dear readers, a shadow falls on this tale of gastronomy. The cost of indulgence at STK is a princely one. My bill, which comprised a single steak, a potato side, and two libations, would make even the most profligate Epicurean balk — a staggering $350. To my disappointment, the culinary offerings, particularly the steak, lacked the symphony of flavors I so craved, and the service, though diligent, lacked that bespoke touch. The cost, when measured against the experience, was discordantly high.

Ambiance

Their signature DNA includes plaster-cast horns, curvilinear black platform seats, and a palette of black gloss and cream. A large central lounge area is furnished with creamy leather banquettes and textured crocodile tiles and is surrounded by an elevated dining room for more formal dining. Theatrical lights illuminate each table, smoky mirrors allow patrons to catch a glimpse of the surroundings while a DJ creates an energetic vibe that caters to 30+ diners throughout the entire space. STK Las Vegas is located among the dining collection of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Las Vegas Boulevard South. Executive Chef Stephen Hopcraft mans the kitchen of the high-energy venue making a home for New York’s trendy eatery on the infamous Las Vegas Strip.
