The workspace is the place where one spends nine hours per day, at least five days a week. Snake Plant

One of the excellent air purifying plants out there, Snake Plant’s scientific name is Sansevieria Trifasciata. It releases oxygen during night time too, unlike other indoor plants, hence increasing the air flow in the space it sits in. It absorbs toxins and helps to reduce air-borne allergies. This plant protects against negative chi energy. The best position to place these plants is in east, south-east or south corners.

African Violet

The scientific name of the plant is Saintpaulia and is native to Tanzania and Kenya. It bears violet blooms and its miniature size makes it perfect to keep at home or work stations. It thrives in hot and humid climate making it perfect for the Indian subcontinent. It loves a lot of bright but indirect sunlight. The flowers have five petals with a velvet touch.

English Ivy

This plant is native to Europe, western Asia, and northern Africa. It is a trailing plant that requires medium light and average watering to thrive indoors. You can either cut the trailing vines if they grow too long or you could wrap it around a wire and create a beautiful piece on your desk. Also, known as Hedera Helix, this is an evergreen plant. Philodendron

These are flowering plants that belong to Arum family. They thrive in a hot and humid climate. They are carefree plants and do not care much about light conditions. The name philodendron is derived from the Greek words philo (love) and dendron (tree). They are also known for their air purifying quality. Oxalis

They beer striking purple blooms that creates a splendid contrast against than other green plants in at home. The other three names for this beautiful plant is False Shamrock, Purple Shamrock and Love Plant. It has purple heart-shaped leaves which have three sides to each of them. When kept in a pot, it makes for an ideal plant for the house and office space.

Lucky Bamboo

One of the luckiest plants around, it represents all the five cardinal elements of Feng Shui. This plant is supposed to attract wealth and prosperity to space it sits in. This makes it ideal for an office desk or workplaces. For best effect, place this plant in the southeast or east direction. This will attract positive chi energy.
