Venue Change for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York

With models from all over the United States, Mercedes–Benz Fashion Week will have the best of the best in fashion displaying their collections. With a sharp, clean venue and professional models, the designs are guaranteed to be the main attraction of the festivity.Originating in 1943 during World War II, fashion week allowed citizens to get their minds off the chaos of war. 72 years later, the tradition continues; New York will once again host the Mercedes–Benz Fashion Week!

New York will host the first Spring Mercedes–Benz Fashion week September 10th–17th, the tour continuing to eleven destinations worldwide, culminating in mid–November in Switzerland. Fashion week usually stops in Berlin, Paris, Italy, Australia, and more! Each fashion week entails different designers, who will show off their new Spring and Summer designer pieces for the upcoming year of 2016. Each fashion event hosted by the Mercedes–Benz Fashion Week is about two hours.

This year, there are many sponsors for the fashion event, such as SK–II, MAC, Redkin, DHL, and Breast Cancer Research. Mercedes– Benz also hosts a fashion weekend line that is shorter than this soiree; however, both provide the same amount of "fashion education."

The designers that participate include Badgley Mischka, Nicole Miller, Vera Wang, Tommy Hilfiger, and over forty more. Designers on average spend six months prior to the season preparing for their new lines; however, the designers who prepare for this event begin brainstorming even earlier. Mercedes–Benz Fashion Week doesn’t only display the renowned designers, but also debuts newer designers. This year, we're expecting to see a lot of new trends: asymmetrical styling, different hemlines, and many more fashion uniquities.

This year unveils two new locals: Skylight Clarkson SQ and the Skylight at Moynihan Station. Usually, New York Fashion week is "housed" in different park and outdoor locations, so this is an exciting change. 

Unfortunately, fashion week is usually invitational–only admission, with celebrities generally welcomed. They provide open invitations to the public, who can choose from four different options: sessions, bronze, silver, and gold. But if flying out to New York to see the show doesn’t seem very convenient, YouTube now live–streams fashion weeks so people around the world can see the cutting–edge designs.
