Andre Soriano is appearing in

San Diego Fashion Week 2013

Andre Soriano’s fashion mantra is "Peace, love, glamor and fashion!" The San Diego fashion designer is ready to rock Fashion Week San Diego and Style Network’s new fashion competition series "Styled to Rock," produced by Rihanna which premiers November 5. Aside from working with Rihanna, Soriano’s 2014 collection "Punk De Luxe" will launch Thursday, October 3 at Fashion Week San Diego.

Soriano has an exciting fall ahead of him. "Thousands of fashion designers applied and I got a call from Rihanna. I am very excited being hand picked and casted by Rhianna’s "Styled To Rock" with my utmost gratitude. It’s great exposure and platform to share my work with the world," Soriano explained. His must haves for Fall 2013 include an ultra sexy couture gown with matching gloves and bag—edgy make-up with the right jewelry. Most of all a fabulous pair of stilettos to compliment the whole look.

Soriano channels high fashion and high art with influences from cosmopolitan cites worldwide such as New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan and Tokyo. Soriano’s designs include all types of garments from active wear to classic evening wear and specializes in elegant wedding dresses and gowns. He only selects luxurious fabrics on the market such as satin, velvet, chiffon, cashmere, knits and crochet with bead-work materials that come from Asia and Europe. The opportunity on "Styled to Rock" has given him exposure to celebrities that bring a global audience to his designs.

Moving to America from the Philippines at an early age exposed Soriano to another level of culture; from music, painters, art, architecture and theater, which compiled into his creativity. Soriano’s vision and fashion interpretation is inspired by Old Hollywood glamour for today’s women and men in mind. "I always gravitate to Old Hollywood Glamour, that was my collection for 2013. My inspirations are young Hollywood starlets like Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Pherell Williams."  

Relocated from San Francisco 8-years ago, Soriano favorite part of San Diego are the San Diegans and great weather. His favorite place to shop in San Diego is Fashion Valley Mall.

As a fashion designer, Soriano highly believes in giving back to the community. Soriano is a member and contributor of several charitable organizations that benefit orphans living in Africa.
