Art, Rhythm and Wine Festival
For those of you who were not able to attend the Art & Rhythm Wine Festival this past weekend at the Carlsbad Forum, the event was a lively and creative experience for all. From the wine, beer garden, and premium cocktails, the 5 Gourmet Restaurants and Caterers, the live music by Otto Pilot and live performances by DJ Manny, to the Silent Auctions to benefit US 4 Warriors. The Art & Rhythm Wine Festival was a huge success and great way to spend the weekend here is sunny San Diego. If you were not able to enjoy the experience and missed the awesome artists here is a recap on a few of the artists that attended the festival.

Roy Kerckhoffs idiosyncratic approach will draw in any viewer with curiosity. Using bold textures to symbolize days that have passed. His pieces of art represent a story of a place with a history. Focusing his subject on black and white photography, industrial objects, and ghost towns. By hand coloring his black and white photography with an oil-based paint, Roy uses similar techniques in the earlier days of photography, bringing an authentic feel to his work. Roy incorporates unique frames with each of his work of art, tying in the subject matter which finalizes the piece as a whole.
Art & Rhythm Wine Festival 201
[updated ]On October 22nd, FINE Magazine and The Carlsbad Forum hosted the 2nd Annual Art, Rhythm & Wine Festival, a yearly art show where some of the community’s best painters, sculptors, jewelry designers, photographers, mixed media and living artists come together to present their works of art. Guests enjoyed live music, dancing, gourmet food tastings, and wine and beer tastings. A portion of the proceeds went to Us 4 Warriors charity.
The Art, Rhythm, and Wine event at The Carlsbad Forum kicked off at 1 pm with an Art Walk that featured the work of over 25 different artists. DJ Manny played some classic rock favorites throughout the afternoon. Many of these artists competed in a juried art competition. The winner of the juried art competition was Roy Kerckhoffs; Suzanne Britt came in second, and Matthew Hoag came in third. A complete list of the artists whom participated in the Art, Rhythm, and Wine event is available at the bottom of the page.
Many of the artists also donated pieces for a silent auction, in which the proceeds went to Us4Warriors, a local charity dedicated to helping veterans live stronger lives. The silent auction began at 5 pm, when the ticketed event began.
Guests of the ticketed portion of the Art, Rhythm, and Wine event were treated to food and wine from a myriad of different vendors, including Deanna’s Gluten Free Bakery, Casa de Bandini, Tooth and Nail Winery, and Spunky Makings. A full list of the San Diego food and wine vendors who participated in the event is available down below.
