The Award-Winning Street Fair Returns for its 35th Year
The 35th Annual Encinitas Spring Street Fair is returning this April with more fun than before! This event, sponsored by Scripps Health, will take place over two days, April 28 and April 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for two full days of food, fashion, music, and more! The street fair is coming back this spring with more fun for everyone, including live music on three different stages, a beer garden full of tasty brews, and tons of tents filled with unique crafts and art from over 450 vendors.
This two-day fair has been drawing large crowds for over 20 years, attracting people from San Diego with the variety of vendors, food, and music. This spring, the emphasis of the Encinitas Street Fair is on handmade crafts, arts, and antiques, but it is certain that you will find many other kinds of treasures and entertainment in every block encompassing the street fair. Take advantage of family-fun for free at this fair, and rock out with the kids to some San Diego bands while savoring tasty beers provided by Stone Brewing Company. This year, the beer garden is extending their hours on Saturday due to popularity! They'll be staying open an hour later, from noon to 6 p.m. cheers to that!
The bands that will take the stage this spring span across various genres of music, and include rock-funk fusion bands, DJ’s, rhythm and blues groups, and many more. Each of the three stages will host its own set of bands that have similar genres and sounds. The Hansen’s Community Stage will feature up-and-coming stars, while talents like Sara Rogo Band and Gold Standard will entertain with rock, reggae, jazz, and blues sounds at The Lumberyard Courtyard Stage. The Beer Garden Stage will feature seven bands, including Elektric Voodoo and The Routine, a dynamic combination of soul, rock, world and funk. DJ’s BeatFantasia and DJ Man-Cat will also be included in the musical line-up for this sun-soaked event.
Each of the featured vendors will be situated within their own tent, expanding down six blocks of the beautiful South Coast Highway 101, from D Street to J Street. Parking in Encinitas is already tricky enough, but don’t panic! There will be free bike valet, sponsored by Electra Bike, at each end block of the festival, so cyclists can leave their bike in the trustworthy hands of Electra Bike while enjoying the street fair. If you plan on driving to attend the fair, there will be parking available along Vulcan Avenue, Moonlight Beach, and City Hall. No matter how you plan to get to the street fair, make sure you do make it; don’t miss out on all the free fun and unique arts that will be presented at the 35th Annual Encinitas Spring Street Fair.
