The Del Mar Thoroughbred club is opening its 84th season. Opening day is known for their fancy hats, pristine fashion for both men and women and of course sports betting. The 2023 summer season Friday July 21 and goes through Sunday September 10 . Tickets go on sale Friday, May 12

Whether you’re invested in the jockeys with their trustworthy steeds, or you just want to make a big impression in your newest chapeau. Just keep this in mind, Opening Day at the Del Mar Racetrack is the place to be. Each season, the stakes grow higher and higher, accompanied by spectators’ anticipation as they follow along with the riders, anticipating the victories and crowned winners. It’s not just the horses who are receiving all of the attention each season; it’s the couture fashion that draws individuals to observe trending styles, and it is where everyone who is anyone goes show off their own unique looks. over-the-top hats and unique styles. It really doesn’t matter what your motives are for going to the races, as long as go and enjoy the event of the summer!

Don't forget to enter into the hat contest. But if you are not entered you will definitely want to check out the outrageous hat. You will be amazed at the beautiful, fun, creative, and outlandish ideas that will be on display.
There are four categories: Best Racing Theme, Most Glamorous, Best Fascinator, and Best Flowers. And these creations will need to be shown before 3 p.m. in the Plaza de Mexico. We hope to see you there this year at the Del Mar Racetrack.
