Maltese summer festivals and concerts can be enjoyed beneath the stars in various historical settings, making them unique. While the Royal Opera House, built-in 1866 and destroyed in a WWII air raid, Fort St. Elmo, an important location during the Great Siege of 1565, and Floriana's vast Granaries are all open-air venues are many others.

Mediterranean Conference Center:

The Mediterranean Conference Center used to be the Knights of St. John's Sacra Infirmaries hospital. The Manuel Theatre, on the other hand, has been in operation since 1732, making it the World's oldest continuously running event in Malta. There are different others as well! As you can see above, Malta's arts, culture, and music events are as diverse as you'd expect. The Maltese Islands have some of the most impressive venues in the World.

Small-Time Festivals:

Around Malta and Gozo, there are approximately forty village feasts dedicated to distinct parishes and towns. These traditional Maltese events honor the patron saint of the parish and are an essential component of Maltese life. Fireworks, brass bands, and food stalls selling Maltese fare and drink are familiar sights at the 'Festa.'

Local Council Music Event:

Local Council cultural activities typically focus on aspects of Maltese culture that are unique to the area. Reenactments in Medieval Mdina, bread making in Qormi, olive oil production in Zejtun, and strawberry picking in Mgarr are just a few examples of the many activities available. Birkirkara hosts an annual chocolate festival! There will also be food vendors, stages for live music, and several more activities for people of all ages.

Jazz Festival of Malta:

Every year in July, this three-day celebration takes place between the 17th and the 19th of July. It's been going on since 1990 and is now a world-famous jazz festival held at Ta' Liesse on Valletta's waterfront. Other notable jazz artists that have performed in the past include Diana Krall.

Festival March in Birgu:

Like Valletta Notte Bianca, the Birgu Fest lasts for two days. Expect medieval reenactments, an artisan market, open houses, and other activities this time around. Birgu by Candlelight, a nighttime candlelit tour of the former Knights' capital, is also part of the celebration.

Valletta's:

Valletta's 2020 status as the European Capital of Culture has resulted in a vast V18 cultural calendar that spans 365 days and over 400 events. The cultural calendar features a wide range of activities related to various genres of art. Performing arts include everything from jazz to classical music to dance and street performances and traditional cultural activities like the annual firework display and other forms of visual art, art exhibitions, and contemporary art.

Maltese Festival of the Earth Garden:

Festival season begins with Malta's largest alternative festival, EARTH GARDEN. With over a thousand attendees from all over the World, this Magical home-grown festival has become a music lover's sanctuary in the National Park since 2007. Despite its name, this all-ages event is not just about music. In addition to the acoustic delights, the festival offers a wide range of seminars and workshops, an ethnic market, two camping areas, and an International Food Court with delectable delicacies from around the World.

The MTV Islands:

MTV organizes the Isle of MTV concert, which is televised throughout Europe as an hour-long special. Although admission is free and there are no age limitations, you may want to arrive early due to the lack of a ticketing system.

This festival has been going on since 2007 and has hosted many prominent names in the music industry, including Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas, and Snoop Dogg. On June 25, Enrique Suarez and Nicole Scherzinger gave a concert at the 2014 event. For a spectacular night out with top international performers, head to this venue.

Malta International Music Week (MMW):

Six days before the Isle of MTV show, Malta will host the Malta Music Week, a week of music events that will leave you wanting more. Entry fees vary by event but usually are incredibly inexpensive. The sunset beach parties, street parties, club nights, and beach clubs feature a wide range of international bands, making this festival indulgent and a lot of fun for everyone.

Music Festival of the International Spring:

For the past eight springs, a free concert of this caliber has been held. A voluntary donation is requested at the door, and this year's concert will be held from April 22-26. It will feature the European Union Chamber Orchestra and Lucia Micallef, among many other renowned artists. This year's event will take place from April 7 to April 11 from events in Malta.

Ghanafest:

This festival is fantastic for all the family and is hosted at the magnificent Argotti Botanical Gardens in Floriana. Lasting for three days every June, it promotes the traditional folk singing of Malta and has a great range of foreign folk singers and musicians alongside the local performers. The traditional food on offer is also a great lure.

Sunscape Music and Arts Festival:

Sunscape Festival is held on Gozo, yet it deserves to be included because it is a must-see event in the Mediterranean. It is annual and usually in September. The 2014 festival will occur between September 3rd and 10th, and tickets range from one-day permits to weeklong camping packages. The festival celebrates modern music but has so much more to offer than simply beautiful sounds.

DJs and Label Showcases:

It is a serious event that involves international DJs and labels showcases throughout nine separate zones. But if this isn't enough, there are also boat parties, art workshops, archery, yoga, outdoor cinema, and zip lines, among the wide variety of activities on offer for events in Malta.
