"Art is Alive" Charity Event at Headlines The Salon in Encinitas

Headlines The Salon, Located In Encinitas is breeding San Diego's Young Philanthropists Hairstyle

Headlines The Salon, One of America’s Top 20 Hair Salons, was proud and excited to present its first Art & Hair Event of the Fall, "ART IS ALIVE" on Thursday, October 23^rd at the Salon. The night featured the artwork of renowned local artist Richard Hawk. Recent watercolors and oil paintings on copper were on display and available for purchase. 

A memorable evening of eye-catching artwork along with the Headlines Hair Design Team displaying exciting live models imitating Richard Hawk’s artwork was a major focal point of the evening.  

Many incredible items were available for silent raffles, including dresses by Mia Brazilia, jewelry by Love 13, hats by Jennifer Buckley, wine baskets by Catering Solutions along with many other amazing items all benefitting a charity that is near and dear to the Salon’s heart, HELLO GORGEOUS, a non-profit for women battling cancer.  

This special night was catered by local star, Catering Solutions, and San Diego’s newest cocktail star, Be-Tini provided a martini bar with all their newest flavors of cocktails, all complimentary of course.  Again, all proceeds will go directly to HELLO GORGEOUS.

HELLO GORGEOUS! is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides complimentary, professional makeovers and cosmetic education to all women battling all cancers. We create an experience for these women beginning with a nomination by family and friends that if chosen, includes surprising her with flowers, chocolates, and a big "Hello Gorgeous!" She is pampered with spa services such as manicure, pedicure, and facial massages, as well as instruction in the new makeup application and hair care (or hair substitution), all this strengthening her confidence and empowering her to feel more acceptable to the public eye.
