I love this look. The silhouettes might be Western standards (skinny pants, a baseball jacket), but the materials have a markedly Eastern flavor (stylized florals, delicate embroidery, rich brocades). It is this juxtaposition that keeps the look from becoming costumey.

On the Spring/Summer runways this Asian inspired fashion was strongest at designers such as Haider Ackermann and Prada. Ackermann created looks in dark hues such as black and navy on lavish and traditional Asian silhouettes. Models strutted the catwalk in layered, belted looks with structure and sophistication. Prada, whose presence continues to grow in numerous Asian markets, paid homage to traditional Japanese femininity. The designer designed coats embroidered with origami flowers and evoked a calm peacefulness that is so often associated with Asian culture.

I can’t think of a better way to embrace the celebration of beauty and nature in traditional Asian art than with such type of pretty floral prints.
To pull off this look, go for contrast in your outfit. If your belt is similar to a Japanese obi, wear it with something like a little black dress rather than styling it over a kimono. If your dress is made of Chinese floral brocade, pair it with a pair of stilettos or slingbacks instead of a pair of wooden-soled sandals.
Your Makeup Matchup –
Take your bright prints to the next level with some matte red lipstick, while keeping the rest of your makeup minimal.
Not feeling so bold? Define your eyes with a thin outline of black liner.
