Jewelry has been part of our attire for thousands of years. Made from precious metals, stones, pearls, and even sea shells, jewelry has enhanced the ensemble of men and women alike. Whether a declaration of social status, marital status, or just to look amazing, jewelry can put the finishing touches on an outfit or be the centerpiece of royal garb. Here’s the best way to wear your jewelry to really let those pieces shine.
Earrings come in three major forms: stud, hoop, and dangle.

Studs are more clean and simple earrings and usually contain a cut precious stone that accents the earlobe. These are the kind of earrings that are more versatile and
can go with a wider variety of outfits. Stud earrings are common for both men and women, and can vary in size cohering with the dimensions of the stone. Studs are a great investment because of their low-maintenance and versatility.
Hoops are usually a metal ring that connect at the earlobe or along other parts of the ear. They can be intricately designed or very simple, depending on the outfit. They can also be a complete connected circle, or even the shape of a crescent moon. Hoops come in different sizes and it has become more and more popular among the younger crowd to wear smaller hoops in multiple places along the ear.
Dangle earrings connect at the earlobe but usually have intricate designs using multiple types of metals, plastics, beads, and/or stones that dangle down from the earlobe. Dangle earrings are usually the most artistic, but can also become a hassle as they can catch on external objects more easily and are usually more fragile. Dangle earrings come in different colors and styles and can be more customized to the outfit.
Necklaces

Necklaces are a great piece of jewelry to utilize in your ensemble. Normally consisting of a metal chain and an adornment, a necklace can do anything from accenting cleavage to extending the neckline. Lockets are a classic necklace
usually containing a picture or inscription inside of a metal vessel. Necklaces come in different shapes and sizes. They can be thick pieces of metal connected together for a Cleopatra-styled look, or they can be long, thin chains with a precious stone at the end. Each necklace says something different, whether it be a sign of status or a whisper of charm.
Rings
Rings c

ome in all different shapes and sizes and can be worn on different fingers (or even toes). There is generally a certain rule that engagement and wedding rings are worn on the ring finger of the left hand (the finger in-between the pinky and the middle finger). Rings can symbolize social status, marital status, moods, graduating classes,
and whether you’ve won a championship game. Rings usually consist of a precious metal band with designs or adornments of precious stones. These are the perfect jewelry pieces to catch the eye, as they tend to sparkle with the movement of the hand. They can accent an outfit by the color of the stone, the band, or by matching with the rest of your jewelry. Wedding rings usually contain diamonds because they go well with any ensemble.
