Spring 2013 fashion trends not only stand out for their assortment of abstract, edgy styles, but also for the way they create sophisticated looks through neutral colors.
And in the neutral spotlight this season is grey!
However, if grey isn’t the first color that pops into your mind when you think of neutrals you aren’t the only one. The fashion industry has long flaunted the versatility of white, cream, black and navy, but, puzzlingly, grey has been absent in the neutral domain.
Possibly grey has been seen as a "serious" color that is a bit dreary – left for cold weather and rainy days. But that’s only a stereotype! And fortunately, designers this season are casting away the clouds that surround grey and making it is more than fitting for sunshine. And I agree.
You can try pairing light grey this season with beautiful pastels for a mature, yet fun look.
Or go bold by pairing grey with orange, yellow or turquoise, or any neon color, creating a fashion look that is infinitely more fabulous.
Wear it with your statement shoes and jewelry for a neutral that is able to hold its own in a supporting role.
