If there's one yearly event that you never want to miss, it has to be San Diego's Teddy Ball. Held at the end of November, the Teddy Ball is a charity event that raised money and teddy bears for Cruse 4 Kids and Miracle Babies. The event was a smashing success, and we have a wonderful gallery down below at the bottom of the page for you to peruse. Check out the Teddy Ball, and get excited for its sister event, the Bunny Ball, in San Diego in March!
WHY WAS THE TEDDY BALL THE EVENT OF THE YEAR?
Simply put, the Teddy Ball was incredible because of the pure passion of founder Nino Venturella. When Venturella spoke about the Teddy Ball, he said, "You will be part of a movement where money is raised through charity events to support and fund non-profits, which then assist families in their time of need. We do no put on just any event, it's an experience." Added founder Nino Venturella, "we want to help promote and bring awareness to other non-profits in the community that may not have the resources or ability to organize niche events."
The Teddy Ball was the first charity gala that kicks off the holiday season in San Diego, and it was the one everyone will be talking about all season long.
WHO RECEIVED THE MONEY RAISED IN SAN DIEGO?
100% - YES, that's right folks! — 100% of the proceeds went to Cruse 4 Kids & Miracle Babies.
Cruse 4 Kids' mission is to raise money through charity events to support and fund other kids and youth organizations on a local, state, federal, and global level. C4K is truly a non-profit, meaning that the board members do not take a salary and dedicate their time and resources for free.
WHO RECEIVED THE TEDDY BEARS IN SAN DIEGO?
The teddy bears were donated to Miracle Babies, who will divide them between hospitals and care centers. Excess teddy bears will be distributed among several other programs and charities. We are proud to partner with such great organizations and encourage everyone to learn more about how they can give back!
Miracle Babies provides support and financial assistance to families with critically-ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also enhance the well-being of women, children, and their families through education, prevention, and medical care.
