In mid-January, the cast and over 150 fans attended a viewing party for The Romance TV series at The Alamo restaurant in Old Town. So many people showed up that it was standing room only for most of the evening. If you recall, The Romance is a dating show that tells the story of 24 single San Diego men and women and their search for love. Directed and Produced by Ken Gora, the TV series also showcases the sights and sounds of San Diego by filming at over 120 locations and venues.
The Romance prominently features local restaurants and businesses, which benefits the local community. What separates The Romance from other dating shows like The Bachelor? We'll let Ken Gora answer that one: "Everyone lives in San Diego, and all our contestants have jobs, some have kids and they are really trying to meet that special someone while living their normal routine."
