Starting with Waypoint Public, located in North Park, this progressive restaurant includes an indoor children’s play area for those under the age of seven. This restaurant still caters to its adult clientele by selling beer and wine, but it strives to cater the kid demographic as well. The menu includes appropriate portions of chicken & vegetables, "Lil' Fisherman" cod and chips, and French toast dippers. This restaurant is open for brunch, lunch, dinner, and even a kid-friendly happy hour! Waypoint Public also has "the bear den," which is a dining space that can be booked for birthday parties and baby showers. On top of that, they even create personalized menus based on the event.
Waypoint Public also includes story times in the play area, family movie nights on the second Tuesday of every month, and even kids’ cooking classes hosted by culinary professionals. These cooking classes are targeted towards kids between the ages of four through ten, making it a family-friendly restaurant for all! Bo-Beau Kitchen + Garden
Another innovative kid friendly restaurant is BO-Beau Kitchen + Garden located in La Mesa. There is a vintage school bus used as a playing area for children to enjoy. The menu consists of finger foods, which is very popular among kids, making the restaurant even better! Menu items include fries, quesadillas, and chicken nuggets. Their infamous Root Beer Floats also make for a fun kid-friendly dessert!
