A Mid Night Summer’s Dream Celebrated fantasy and whimsy in Shakespearean England! The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library celebrated its 29th annual gala on Friday, September 7, 2018.
This year’s theme was A Mid Night Summer's Dream, celebrated fantasy and whimsy in Shakespearean England! Gala guests enjoyed live music, sassy dancing, and an extra-special parade of partygoers on Wall Street and Girard Avenue led by the mischievous Puck. Gala guests got into the spirit of the theme by wearing extravagant costumes or cocktail attire.
The gala is the largest annual fundraiser and social event for the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, La Jolla’s oldest cultural institution and Southern California’s only membership library.
Proceeds from the gala go directly to support the Athenaeum’s mission, programs, and education outreach. More information: http://www.ljathenaeum.org/
