The French Gourmet in San Diego is proud to present a special holiday menu: the Christmas Eve Prix Fixe Dinner and the New Year's Eve Prix Fixe Dinner. It's a great opportunity to break away from the normal holiday dinner routine and indulge in something exciting, delicious and memorable.
The Christmas Eve Fix Prixe Dinner will be served on Dec. 24 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. It is a three-course meal that includes one appetizer, one entree and a dessert. Enjoy delicious, hard to find dishes prepared by some of San Diego's top French chefs. Choices include creamy lobster bisque, fresh roasted goose, Alaskan halibut, braised veal steak, lobster tail with filet mignon and much more. Then choose from baked Alaska, raspberry Napoleon or buche de Noel slice (three different kinds of mousse—chocolate, praline or lemon buttercream) for dessert. The Christmas Eve Dinner is $48 per guest.
The New Year's Eve Fix Prixe Dinner Menu includes local Carlsbad oysters, lump crab cakes, diver scallop risotto, baked chicken roulade, baked Dijon-crusted rack of lamb, a vegetarian butternut squash ravioli, warm molten chocolate cake and more (in addition to almost everything found on the Christmas Eve Dinner menu). The New Year's Dinner also comes with a choice of soup or salad. Early reservations begin at 4:00 on Dec. 31. The cost is $69.95 per guest. Late reservations (after 7:30 p.m.) are $79.95 per guest. So be sure to call well in advance!
