San Pasqual Winery is a small, family owned winery located in La Mesa–just east of San Diego. Although the namesake dates to the 1970’s—when the winery was located in the San Pasqual Valley— the winery was later "reinvented" as San Diego’s original urban winery, earning it a spot in Sunset Magazines’ list of "Hot 100 West Coast Trends." The winery is now located in the industrial area of La Mesa, with offsite tasting rooms nearby in the village of La Mesa and downtown San Diego at Seaport Village.
San Pasqual wines are hand crafted in small lots by co-owner and winemaker Linda McWilliams, using grapes sourced from local vineyards and renowned viticulture regions throughout California. Unique passionfruit wines including the habanero-inspired, "Hot Passion", consistently win awards at local, state, and internat

ional levels. However, the wine list also includes a robust selection of award winning traditional grape varietals and blends, including a 2010 Malbec, selected to represent California style Malbecs in Cahors, France—thehome of Malbec. With annual production of 2,500 cases, most of the wine is sold directly from the winery and tasting rooms, proving a more personal experience for the people who enjoy San Pasqual Winery wines.
Each of the three San Pasqual locations are designed to offer a unique wine experience. The production winery, conveniently located just off the I-8, is open every weekend for wine tasting and personal tours. The La Mesa Village venue, offers a cozy wine bar ambiance where visitors quickly become friends, enjoying sidewalk seating, and live music on weekends. The newest location at Seaport Village, provides a gateway to San Diego Wine Country for vacationers and locals alike as they enjoy San Pasual Winery wines overlooking San Diego Bay from the deck patio.
