With another round of London Fashion Week shows all wrapped up we have had time to reflect and dissect the collections and the countless looks and trends that are emerging for next season.
From floral-printed bomber jackets at Jonathan Saunders, to the wonderland of pastels at Burberry, here is a round-up of FINE’s highlights from the best London shows:
Erdem
Erdem's charming S/S14 collection was a fresh and romantic monochromatic blend of wafting organza, flowing chiffon and trailing feathers – all with an almost couture-like fine detail. Loved it.

J.JS.LEE
The structure of Lee’s collection, both fluid and luminous, was effortlessly reminiscent of her inspiration – the ever-changing colors and free movement of the iridescent jellyfish. Wax coated embellishments and waterproof Airtex reflected the lights of the camera flashes, bringing life to the otherwise static fabric.

Preen
One can always count on Preen for a chic, feminine, and super modern collection. Dresses were adorned with harness clips on the shoulders, short sleeve shirts were clean and boxy, and skirts showed off sharp asymmetric hems. Then came sheer pink rubber forming camis and dresses, parquee-quilted skirts, silk patchwork in vibrant colors, metallic foil-printed pieces and glamorous parkas…what more does a girl need S/S?

Christopher Kane
Metal infused and subtly sexy with cut outs, brocade and pleats…Kane delivered one of his strongest and most confident collections to date.

Burberry Prorsum
Who could help but fall in love with Burberry’s use of embellished jewels, soft lace and pastels in lilac, pink, blue and mint that floated down the runway. The collection makes me long for summer to come once again.

Mark Fast
Always pushing the boundaries, Mark Fast’s collection (a personal favorite) was a bit of bondage chic meets gothic raver. If you were on the hunt for fierce black hair and make-up, Mark Fast was the catwalk to be at!

Topshop Unique
Another personal favorite, Unique’s latest collection brought the cool factor to LFW with billowing boho dresses in shades of the earth, sun, sky and sea, which were paired with graphic prints, fringing frills and panels.

Emilia Wickstead
Emilia Wickstead’s superbly cut collection was another favorite, particularly this first look with its elegant silhouette and fun candy stripes.

Tom Ford
Opening his show with crocodile skin textures on biker jackets, Tom Ford’s girl for S/S14 has a rebellious edgy side. But his more show-stopping outfits came towards the end. The models literally looked like they were made from glass in these disco-ball looks.
