Set outside the newly remodeled patio at the Fleming’s in La Jolla, Fine Magazine and their select guests were treated to a delectable evening which included innovative food and wine flavor pairings from their 8-9-10 late-night menu. Set to a more contemporary design, their outside patio proved to be the perfect location to mingle and sip a craft cocktail alfresco style. As a premier event meant to mark the reopening of the Fleming’s in La Jolla, guests came dressed in their most fashionable attire while some also chose to arrive in style via their shiny Lamborghinis. With guests arriving from the local San Diego area, Fleming’s President and partner Skip Fox generously made the journey from Newport Beach to help commemorate the special event.
While mingling under the evening sky, Fine Magazine and their guests sampled an array of delectable menu items from their 8 for $9 ‘til 10 late-night menus that consisted of Filet Mignon Flatbread, Ahi Tuna Tacos, Short Rib Empanadas, Lobster Lettuce Wraps, and much much more. As a perfect pairing to their signature menu, guests were also able to sample wine and cocktail beverages that ranged from sparkling prosecco to exclusive red and white wines as well as signature cocktails.
With 66 national restaurant locations, Fleming’s has become one of the most premier steak houses promising a consistent fine dining and upscale experience. Through their many accolades, Fleming’s has garnered an array of notoriety within the industry for establishing an innovative and more modern approach to an upscale steakhouse. Included in their unique offerings are Fleming's Small Plates, Bar a la Carte, and now the 8-9-10 bar menu offerings. The 8 for $9’ til 10 p.m. menu, in particular, is their newest late-night happy hour which offers eight innovative items for just nine dollars from 8-10 p.m all week long. As an even more unique dining experience for wine aficionados, they also offer a notable wine pairing menu known as the Fleming’s 100. With this brand trademark, the Flemings 100 consists of a collection of 100 wines available by the glass or bottle. Fleming's National Director of Wine, Maeve Pesquera emphasizes that "Tasting and understanding wines is something we want everyone to experience at Fleming’s. It's why we go above and beyond to make sure the Fleming's 100 is really something special." However, even for the most experienced wine connoisseur, may find that navigating this menu may be daunting, which is all the more reason why Fleming’s has developed the Fleming’s WiNEPAD™ to help navigate their extensive menu. Winner of the 2013 Hospitality Technology Breakthrough Award, guests are able to utilize this proprietary, custom web-based application on an iPad at their fingertips and can more easily decide on the perfect wine for them. Through their notable and innovative flavor profiles centered in seasonal and top-quality ingredients, as well as an exceptional selection of top quality wines, Fleming’s has gained a loyal following and clientele base, with Fine Magazine, included.
As the evening at Fleming’s came to a bittersweet close, guests were left with two decadent options to indulge their sweet tooths: Balvenie S’mores and/ or Cinnamon dusted donuts, which also can be found on their late-night menu. With the evening complete, it can be certain that everyone who attended this Fine event left with more than satiated appetites which were extremely evident by the number of smiles that departed the restaurant. Without any second thoughts Fine Magazine and it’s guests will be looking forward to an eagerly awaited return to share their experiences with friends and family at Fleming’s Steakhouse in La Jolla.
