Gorgeous Spring Fashions Wow at FINE's Spring Xposure

FINE magazine’s 5th annual Spring Xposure event at the Carlsbad Forum was a memorable night filled with couture fashions, plenty of drinks to go around, extraordinary culinary treats, and killer entertainment. Obviously, the hit event of the night was our fashion show, where models strutted down our runway wearing the tallest of heels - or, in the case of one ballerina, elegant pointe shoes. There were several special moments throughout the evening thanks to our fashion, make-up, and salon stylists. Luckily for you, we can give you the insider scoop on everyone who attended our Spring Xposure fashion show!

Bravura Sydney

Bravura Sydney Swimwear opened up our show and most definitely contributed to the wow factor throughout the night! Their swimwear line showcased a memorable black one piece called Sydney Nirvana that comes with a bandeau to be worn underneath. At their booth, they featured images of models like Kylie Jenner sporting Bravura swimwear. It sure was fun to see how many different types of swimsuit designs there are; from cheeky-bum bikini Brazilian-inspired bottoms to modest high waist bottoms, Bravura had a swimsuit for everyone to covet!

Cocoyana 

Cocoyana featured their bohemian, beachy accessory and swimsuit designs at their booth and on the runway. As the company is based in San Diego, Cocoyana’s bikinis, handbags, and jewelry had us all anticipating a warm San Diego summer. The line inspired us to carry around a wicker bag with colorful, playful fringe and embrace a vacationer’s mentality. In addition to the Cocoyana Tassel Bag, models showcased the upcoming bikini line! One of the standouts was a playful coral triangle bikini with ruffles. We thoroughly enjoyed their looks on the runway because the details were exquisite, the colors were exotic, and the prints were exuberant.

Chico’s

Chico’s brought sophistication to Spring Xposrue and showed us their newest in-store arrivals that can be found in the Carlsbad Forum. We loved the refreshing colorful and classic white pieces that give us a zest for all things spring and summer. Their collection featured looks that could be dressed up or down, like white pants paired with flowy tops. According to Chico’s, their latest collection celebrates women whose unique style and passion for life are impossible to ignore. We absolutely loved seeing that statement come to life on the runway!

White House Black Market

White House Black Market was another classy Carlsbad Forum favorite featuring a surplus of dresses ranging from casual to elegant. We loved all of the new arrival midi dresses that are trending this season. One great staple to transition from winter to summer is a spring scarf for overcast days or those chilly nights. White House Black Market has several cute oblong scarves that are versatile and can spruce up any outfit.

Francesca’s

Francesca's is a boutique that offers trendy clothes, shoes, accessories, and even home decor. The boutiques can be found throughout San Diego. Francesca’s Collection showed trendy looks like printed pants and off-the-shoulder blouses. Francesca’s has a wide array of styles, making it a one-stop-shop boutique with a lot to offer your wardrobe.

Mulloy’s Jewelry

Mulloy’s Fine Jewelry is a FINE favorite, and they really shined at Spring Xposure 2016. Mulloy’s can be found in the Carlsbad Forum, and they are perfect for wedding ring shopping or looking for elegant jewelry. The designer jewelry dazzled the runway and made the models look ravishing. On our runway, Mulloys Fine Jewelry presented diamond jewelry by Forevermark, blue amazonite and diamonds by Doves, and Italian 18k gold by Marco Bicego. 

Nicole Miller

Nicole Miller is a designer that can be found in the Carlsbad Forum with remarkable dressy (and expensive) designs. At Spring Xposure, the boutique featured six looks in our show that took our breath away. One garment that we loved was a green strapless top with pleats paired with white elegant pants. This quality Sunburst Pleats Strapless Top can be dressed down when paired with summer shorts. We had a good time seeing pieces that got us ready for spring and summer, a time when we can make our outfits pop with fun colors! 

Soma Intimates

Soma Intimates is an offshoot of Chico’s with an array of bras, panties, lounge wear, swimwear, and more. Soma showed us comfortable attire for those cozy mornings when we just want to lounge in bed for five more minutes. The lingerie was swoon-worthy, showcasing looks every woman would love to wear. A standout from Soma was the nautical spring and summer-friendly Bandeau Maxi Dress Crossover Stripe in navy and white. Nautical attire and maxi dresses are perfect for transitioning from winter to spring and summer.

Haus of K2

Haus of K2 is a new designer that we had the pleasure of showcasing. The elegant brand brought their jewelry and dresses to share with Spring Xposure guests. We especially loved the elegant evening wear! The jewelry ranged from evening accessories to casual everyday bracelets. There were several turquoise pieces and some amazing everyday bracelets made of lava rocks. The Haus of K2 booth featured a lot of different lace dress designs.

Satori Designs

Satori Designs contributed six different looks to the fashion show, all of which were absolutely stunning. We admired the long dress with leather straps along with the other unique and detailed dresses. Satori Designs can be found in Pangea Outpost or online. Satori Designs features an eclectic collection of women's clothing and accessories from around the world. It’s for women who love the dance of life. 

Zaneta Owens Collection 

Zaneta Owens Collection is based in California and offers a wide range of luxury handbags to the world. Zaneta Owens featured her high end purses in the fashion show, showing off the signature collection inspired by California’s diversity and distinct culture. Each and every woman out there loves when the time comes to start sporting their spring and summer handbags. It just feels good to clean out your old purse and start using a new one.  Zaneta Owens let’s all women feel that way, especially with the red and cognac Victoria bag that is sure to catch a passerby’s eye!

Lululemon

Lululemon was a crowd favorite at Spring Xposure 2016. We loved seeing the new spring arrivals sported on the runway to help get us motivated for spring fitness. Lululemon has a store in the Carlsbad Forum and can be found all throughout Southern California. We love that we can lounge in Lululemon outfits or live an active lifestyle in their collections. The above cute outfit with a pleated, colorful skirt and visor inspired us to pick up a tennis racquet with a friend and have a ball. Lululemon’s athletic apparel is unparalleled. Transcend the here and now in fashion that gives you the freedom to move without restraint. 

Rich Freshman

Rich Freshman offers stylish suits for the modern man. At our Spring Xposure fashion show, he wowed the crowd with his strong looks, but also with his sewing machine. The designer brought along pieces of his workshop and hand-made a bag for the Shelter to Soldier charity auction right on the spot!

JoS. A. Banks

JoS. A. Banks revealed their staple pieces like suits and sportcoats for menswear, as well as their new collection items for this upcoming season. The guys had all eyes on them during the fashion show as they showed off their fashionable and quality attire. JoS. A. Banks has an array of spring looks, including the VIP button-downs - aka, their Vacation In Paradise. We love to embrace that lifestyle! You can too if you shop in their sportswear section.

Studio 12.20

Studio 12.20 provided loud prints to get us ready for music festival season and a bohemian summer. The looks were trendy and styled with a Southern California boho vibe tailored to please dreamers and drifters. Studio 12.20 had some flirty, spring ready wear at the show that we thought were oh-so-cute!

Ulta

Ulta is a salon and massive beauty supply store in the Carlsbad Forum that we are so grateful to have in our community. Ulta helped provide the make-up for Spring Xposure, and they featured Smashbox products in their dazzling runway looks!

MAC

MAC Cosmetics came to team up with FINE and worked hard all day creating beautiful looks for our models. They are masters of special event make-up, and this sure was a special event! MAC red lipstick is a must-have, and it glowed on our runway, pairing beautifully with the gorgeous fashions.

Haim Ltd Salon

Haim Beauty Salon came to team up with us at Spring Xposure 2016. We were so into the Coachella and music festival looks - they nailed it! Haim is a top San Diego Salon located in the Del Mar Plaza. They created sexy waves and curls for the girls to wear as they modeled different designers. They also created on one of our models a big braid that flowed effortlessly into soft curls. Inspiring!

Headlines 

Headlines Salon created a unique look for our models that definitely caught our eyes because of its intricacy: the braided top knot! Headlines Salon is located in Encinitas and offers a variety of different hairstyling services. 

Waatani Norris 

Waatani Norris is a hair extensions specialist in La Jolla, and we had the pleasure of seeing his looks modeled on our runway. The team came to beautify our models for the fashion show and did an amazing job, creating sleek and chic looks for our girls.

Quattra Via Aveda 

Quattra Via Aveda Salon is located in the Carlsbad Forum. All of the girls at Quattra Via Aveda have such friendly faces and wonderful hair tips and tricks up their sleeves. The salon offers beauty services like hair and make-up, as well as spa services.
