Hot Spots Around The Nation:
Visiting Different Countries During The Hot Season:
By: Amanda Ryan
Many families like to escape the Winter months all throughout the country. There are many spots that quite warm or rather hot because those are their prime months. Just like many states on the East Coast, many states on the West Coast and all throughout the nation have their specific hot seasons. Some just take place when many of us are experiencing our Winter or rather cold months.
In Southern South America, there are quite a few countries that experience their hot months during our cold months. Some like Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay experience their hot season when we in North America do, from August to September. During the other months, they are experiencing the colder months just as we are. While visiting these three countries during these months, and you are a hiker, it is better to travel during the time of the hot season as the climate as well. In these countries, it is best if you actually escape their hot season as it is compared to a sizzling summer. Which in different terms means hot like chiles!
As you would think that all of South America would entail the same weather climate, you are wrong. Central South America, which includes the countries of Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru have a different climate system. Their weather is slightly different in which their rainy season takes up most of the year. The hot months in these countries other than Ecuador usually reach up to at least one hundred degrees and sometimes over one hundred degrees. They say to not even visit during the hot months because it is very HOT. Their hot months in Ecuador take place from the months of June to September and typically their dry season cools down leaving the best time to visit Ecuador during January to May. The other countries that reach over 100 degrees are normally better to visit during the time of April to September as the temperatures are pretty decent and not making one almost have heat stroke.
Northern South America is very different from the other parts of South America. While many think it would have the same weather as it would in the East of the United States, you were wrong again. Their dry season, which is typically considered their hot season is usually from the months of December to April. They have months before and after that usually are a mixture of climate; however, are still hot spots for the countries of Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, and a few others in the Northern part of South America. If you enjoy hiking mountains than traveling to these countries during the dry months is probably not your best idea. You will experience the cold up on the mountain and you will more than likely dislike the weather. Those of the country suggest you hike these countries during their heavy rainy season as you will avoid being quite chilly.
Like many other countries through the nation, the climate fluctuates. This means that not everyone’s hot spots or summer days are the same. Some experience a little more chill rather than humidity and heat. This is why it is relevant to visit these countries during the hot/dry seasons, so you typically will not experience the cold. Dry seasons are always dry or rather hot either. Some dry seasons could be definitely colder than most think!
