Despite advancements in dental care, Americans between 20 and 64, on average, have only 24.92 teeth, falling short of the ideal 32. In response, innovative solutions like the ability to shop for dentures at home provide accessible options for maintaining oral health.

Tooth loss can lead to a loss of confidence. Having dental implants is one way to both restore your self-confidence and look great every time you smile.

What Are Dental Implants?

The implant refers to the artificial root, made of titanium. A dentist embeds this metalcore into the jawbone. The fusing process can take 6-12 weeks.

Once the rod fuses with the bone, your dentist adds an abutment to give the tooth a proper base. The addition of a permanent crown comes last.

Your dentist will match your replacement teeth color to your existing teeth. It helps ensure you have a natural smile.

To be a good candidate for implants, you need healthy gums. Your dentist needs to fix the implant into the bone, so you’ll need enough bone left.

Dental implants typically cost more than other replacement teeth because of the treatment length.

Dental insurance doesn’t cover dental implants as well as restorative bridges. If you have a medical plan, then you may be covered. Check your policy because the cause of the tooth loss may affect your coverage.

According to the GoodRX, a single dental implant can cost between $3,500 and $7,500 but there is no set price to cover dental implants. It’s important that you choose a dentist with AAID credentials to make sure you get the best implants.

Your dentist will assess your individual needs and create an estimated cost. Be wary about dentists who quote costs before they see you.

Consider the procedure as a surgical process. As a result, lots of factors affect the price. These can include:

  • the need for bone grafts
  • tooth extractions
  • where the dentist is located
  • what anesthesia is needed

Check with your dentist for a specific breakdown of costs.

It's all about the quality of life. The implants fuse with your jawbone, meaning they become permanent, unlike dentures. They also look like your other teeth so they’re more subtle.

If you have a bridge fitted, your dentist must alter the teeth around the gap to make room for the bridge. With implants, the other teeth aren’t affected.

You’ll be able to floss between the teeth as normal. With better oral hygiene, you’re more likely to keep the rest of your teeth.

You can forget the worries associated with badly fitting dentures. Eating and drinking will feel normal again. And you don’t have the aftercare, adhesives, or inconvenience of dentures.

To the point and very informative article must say. The cost of dental implants depends on the make of Dental Implant primarily. The other factors like the condition of the patient, related to bone quality also matter in terms of determining the cost of implants. But with new Swiss technology, there is no more need of additional procedures like bone grafting or sinus lift.
