As a professional makeup artist, I have seen and used all forms of lash enhancement. There's something about lashes that gives a little something extra to your look. Nowadays we have so many options to choose from to achieve any look from simple and clean to full-on glam. Decide which option is best for you!
Latisse
This is a product you can use to enhance your natural lashes. It's applied to your upper lashes and, over the course of about 16 weeks, you will notice your own lashes appear fuller and longer. This is great for people that like a natural look. You can wake up and go or apply a little mascara to accentuate your lashes a little more. You do have to continuously use the product to keep them longer and fuller. If you discontinue use, your lashes will revert back to what you previously had with your eyelashes' natural cycle of shedding old lashes and growing new ones. Be sure to read the directions and warnings carefully, but if you're a makeup minimalist this may be the right pick.
Lash Extensions
These come in a few different options, from a natural and fuller look to a heavy glam look. Lash extensions are applied in either small clusters or individually by a professional. They are semi-permanent, as they can last several weeks. The great part about these is that once they are installed, you wake up and are ready to go with full, luxurious lashes. There's no need to mess with gluing them on daily. You do have to maintain them with fills every 2-3 weeks to keep them looking full and beautiful. It's also very important to go to someone very good to apply your lashes. Poor quality lashes can cause natural lashes to fall out as well.
Strip Lash
Now these are my favorites and what I currently use. Strip lashes come in countless styles and are easily applied with eyelash glue. I say easy because I use them daily, but for a beginner it may take a little practice to get them on right. They come in synthetic, silk, mink, horse hair, and more. These are great for someone who likes to change their look. Strip lashes are worn just for the day and removed with your makeup. You can reuse the strips multiple times, but they do need to be reapplied each time.
