The San Diego Surf Polo Club held its opening day at their fields in Del Mar on Sunday, June 11th. Opening day was widely successful, with a record turnout of nearly 4,500 people attending the event. The Rancho Santa Fe Cup finals kicked off opening day with the first match on the field at 1pm. Team Venter Institute narrowly beat Team McKinney Capital in a close battle on the field.

After hyping up the spectators, the second match launched the Club’s 8-goal World Ambassador Polo Cup Series in an international match between Team USA and Team Argentina. Team Argentina took the win by two goals in this fast, exhilarating competition. The San Diego Surf Polo Club hopes to plans to continue featuring similar International matches throughout the season, which runs all summer long and concludes October 1st.
