Why to Use Essential Oils in Your Home

Essential oils

Concentrated plant extracts in a form of a liquid sensation also known as essential oils are wonderful health boosters you should get ready to explore and start applying in your home. Nature has always been offering amazing plants, seeds, herbs, and trees for us to find and discover their positive effects. Pure essential oils are extracted from hundreds of botanicals, from basil to ylang-ylang, each containing the optimal levels of specific ingredients to maximize their potency.

The beauty of essential oils comes in three different ways of using them - aromatically, topically, and internally.

When used aromatically, essential oils can work wonders in uplifting mood, refresh our living space, or just remind us to breathe and relax. Either dropping the oil to a bowl of hot water, rubbing a couple drops between palms and inhale, or placing the oil in diffusers - lavender, jasmine, melissa and many other plants are natural sources of health-supporting capabilities with a  pleasant aroma.

Using them topically, the essential oils should get rolled onto desired area or massage a few drops of the oil and a carrier oil like coconut, argan or grape seed oil into preferred parts of the body. Since they could be very potent and cause a skin irritation, you should be careful with this type of usage.

Essential oils can also be used internally, usually adding a couple of drops to a glass of water, rice milk, or your favorite juice, or adding drops of oil to your meals when cooking.

Positive effects of essential oils are numerous since there are so many aromatic plants, flowers, and trees to choose from in our versatile nature. To get the most from them though the botanicals should be a hundred percent pure, and grown, harvested, and distilled properly.

Here are some of the health boosters in the form of essential oils:

100 % pure lemon essential oil is a great fighter against household dirt and grime, infections, cough, or insects bites. You can also try it as a great substitute for lemon seasoning or juice in cooking, especially vegetables, smoothies, and desserts.

Lavender is globally famous as one of the most powerful essential oils. Because it’s known for its sweet floral aroma it’s recommended to add drops of lavender on a cotton ball and put in your pillowcase. You can use the essential oil for steam inhalation since lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, and rosemary are all very effective over mucus. Put lavender in the water and keep it in your closet for a fresh and natural aroma. Stress, sunburn, headaches, cramps, and fevers can be successfully reduced as well, all because of the beautiful benefits that lavender carries.

Tea tree and Copaiba oil from Brazilian Copaifera Reticulata tree are extremely beneficial for our skin care, known for their moisturizing properties, and helping with healthy looking skin. Most effective usage of tea tree oil is as a powerful antiseptic as it has the ability to treat wounds.

Along with the pure essential oils we mentioned, there are amazing blends of unique essential oils, coupled perfectly for the targeted purpose like stress-free, better sleep or immune support.
