Mammoth Mountain- winter and summer options for fun

Mammoth Mountain is the highest elevation resort in California with a summit of 11,053 feet. These steep mountains are an idyllic backdrop to the resort’s 300 sunny days annually. Naturally, the combination of challenging terrains and blue skies allows winter guests to choose from downhill or cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, ice-skating, snowball fights, and of course, making a snowman. While in the warmer months, guests enjoy hiking, biking, and fishing or simply lounging around in one of the many lakes. Especially worth noting is the jazz festival that draws a devoted fan base who spend close to a week swaying to the beats of live music during the summer.
