What I Noticed Performing Umrah During Easter Week: A Traveller’s Notes

It’s not my first time performing Umrah at all. However, it felt a bit different to me this time. I booked one of the finest Easter Umrah packages that seemed much in line with all what I wanted in my journey. Also, I got off from work during the Easter break and that is what instantly made my mind to utilise this break in the best possible way I could. Also, I had heard a lot about Easter Umrah from different individuals, that it brought unexpected lessons to them, and I decided to give it a try to personal reflection and seeking blessings of the Almighty Allah.

It was all a highly personal experience for me as I booked the right all-inclusive Easter Umrah package. So, here I am going to share all that I observed throughout my spiritual journey to help you better learn from it.

1. Easter Break Is Becoming a Busy Time for Umrah

There were times before when people mostly used to perform Umrah in Ramadan or during the winter break, and that time has totally changed now. What I noticed was that more and more people are now turning towards performing Umrah in Easter. Even most of the travel agencies have already introduced Easter Umrah packages 2026 which are already receiving a massive demand.

The reason for this upsurge in demand is the fact that most of the Muslims residing in Western countries now think of benefiting from their school and work break around Easter to embark on this meaningful journey. When I arrived at the airport, I met many families from different regions such as Canada, UK, Germany, and Canada and this was just because as Easter is a Christian holiday so it gives Muslims residing in such countries a perfect chance to plan their spiritual journey.

In case you are one among those planning the same, it’s better to book your all-inclusive Easter Umrah 2026 package early, as flights and hotels fill up really fast and prices also observe a quick hike afterwards.

2. A Diverse Crowd Creates a Unique Energy

The crowd is not always a frustrating thing and to me it seemed more diverse than usual as I got to meet many individuals from different countries and walks of life. The overall vibe was quite warm and zealous and I could hear to multiple languages every turn. But one thing that remained constant was, despite all the language and culture differences, we all had a single shared purpose and especially at the time when the entire world was busy celebrating something else, the sense of unity further ignited our spiritual energy.

3. A Different Kind of Spiritual Reflection

There were different aspects of Umrah that I wasn’t aware of, and during the Easter Umrah, I reflected on faith in a whole new way while my Christian friends were busy posting out Easter-relevant festive stuff. I felt overwhelmed to catch the sight of holy Kaaba and pray for myself and my loved ones in silence. This contrast in beliefs and life approach made me realise how blessed I was to be chosen by the Almighty to visit His home, and how the contrasting paths still share same moral values like empathy, hope, and forgiveness. This made me feel more rooted in my faith and teachings.

4. An Eye-Opening Reminder of Co-Existing Beliefs

Well, I will not say I didn’t touch my mobile a bit during the Umrah. Whenever I got some free time in the day, just to stay in touch with my family back home, I gave a few minutes to social media just to check in my family. There, I saw a feed rushing with Easter brunches and church photos from my non-Muslim friends. At the same time, I saw Umrah stories and Kaaba pictures from those performing Umrah and it felt more like a co-existence of two different worlds at the same time. This made me realise how privileged I was to take time out of the rhythm and embark on this soulful journey.

5. Practical Tip: Plan for Spring Weather

Many people have a misconception that the weather during Easter in Saudi Arabia’s holy cities is unbearable. The fact is, it is not. Though the daytime temperatures in both cities are still high, but manageable when we compare it with the intense summer heat in upcoming months. I packed light and breathable clothes and that totally saved my trip! For your own safety you can also bring an umbrella and wear non-fragrant sun protection for long outdoor walks. Also, just a tip, stay hydrated in all cases and drink lots of water!

An Easter Umrah is all about spiritual renewal and personal reflection. No matter which part of the world the pilgrims belonged to, we all shared a common theme and were seeking something really deeper. This reminded me of the fact that sometimes we need to slow down our pace and don’t always need to match the world’s theme and rhythm. Sometimes, it’s better to step away from the usual and normal, and just focus on your own self and your connection with the Creator of this universe and the hereafter.

So, wrapping it up, if you have got time during the Easter break, you must go for an Easter Umrah. Just be mindful of the price hike and large crowds, and most importantly, make sure you are all clear about the purpose of this journey.
